What does the GDPR mean specifically for bloggers, website operators and affiliates

The following statements are just speculation on my part and by no means set in stone specifically for bloggers. We will have to watch closely in the coming months to see what else is written about this. Since the GDPR only regulates the basics of future data protection in Europe. We will definitely have to wait for the new e-privacy regulation, which I will discuss further below.

for Google AdSense

For Google Analytics

For their own products
It depends a lot on whether you sell them yourself or use an external platform.

Even though the GDPR provides exceptions to the collection of personal data without explicit consent, such as in online shops, shop operators still have to prepare for many new obligations.

If you sell your products, e.g. an e-book, on other platforms and do not collect any data yourself, you are initially free of many obligations.

For newsletter marketing

Of course, you also have to check in detail which service you are using (newsletter services outside the EU are problematic) and whether it meets the requirements of the GDPR.
