So far so good: While my experience with the ASUS Zenbook S 16 (UM5606) isn’t perfect, it’s mostly positive and I’m impress by many things. Next, let’s see how things are on the software side.
Software Experience on ASUS Zenbook S 16
The ASUS Zenbook S 16 (2024) can come with Windows 11 Home or Pro pre-install. The unit I’m reviewing had the Pro version, version 24H2, which Microsoft hasn’t yet finaliz. That’s because ASUS, Microsoft, and AMD want this laptop and similar devices to have access to some of the AI capabilities built into that version of Windows. While their motivation is positive, users won’t get the best experience with the software until version 24H2 is finaliz later this year and releas as a major Windows 11 update for everyone.

Depending on where you buy this laptop and the offers available, you may also get a month-long trial of Microsoft 365 already phone number list install , or a year-long subscription. The company may also offer a Microsoft Office Home & Student 2021 license in various markets during times like the Back to School season . In addition to Office , you also get a few other apps to help you customize your laptop, its hardware, and the way it works:
Dolby Access – helps you customiz The MyASUS app

GlideX – You can use the app to aesthetics and design standards connect your smartphone to your laptop as an additional display, transfer files between the two devices, receive calls, etc. It is a Phone Link clone and most people should uninstall it.
MyASUS – This app is really useful because it allows you to register your laptop with ASUS, manage your warranty, access support fresh list options, and customize many aspects of how your laptop works. For example, you can use the app to customize how the battery charges, how the fans operate, enable dynamic refresh rate, or enable features that protect the OL display and minimize burn-in.
