We present three new updates to surveys designed to help groups gather information and make decisions together.

• Create single-vote surveys: when you need a definitive answer, we include an option that will allow you to create surveys in which people can vote only once. Simply enable “Allow multiple responses” when creating a survey.
• Search for surveys in your chats: it is not always possible to answer a survey immediately, and it may be difficult to find a survey later in the chat. Now, you can filter messages by surveys, just like you can do it with photos, videos or links. On the “Chats” screen, press “Search” and then “Surveys” to see a list with all the results.

A WhatsApp account, now on several phones

This is a very requested function by users. Now you can link your phone with up to three additional devices, the same way you link WhatsApp on web browsers , tablets and desktop computers . Each linked phone connects to WhatsApp independently, ensuring that your personal messages, multimedia content and calls are end-to-end encrypted. In addition, if your main device is inactive for an extended period, we will automatically close your session on all connected devices.

Save in chat: the sender’s new superpower

Today we present the “Save in the chat” function, text services,

which allows you to save texts that you will need later, with a special superpower for whoever sent the message. We believe that when you send a message, you should choose whether others in the chat can save it for later.

we will notify you when someone saves a message you sent, and you will be able to cancel the decision. If you decide that no one can save your message, this decision will be final, so no one else can save it, and the message will be deleted when the timer expires. This way, you have the last word on how the messages you send are protected.
